It’s finals day in Hamburg as the last players standing compete for the German Open 2024 Presented by Sportwerk titles.

Nele Gilis V Georgina Kennedy

In the women’s final, top seed Nele Gilis of Belgium takes on English No.3 seed Georgina Kennedy.

With both Gilis and Kennedy being regarded as two of the fittest players on Tour, expect quality right through to the end in what could be a classic encounter.

The pair have met seven times on the PSA World Tour, with Gilis winning the first three encounters and the pair then trading victories. Their last match came less than two weeks ago, when Gilis came from behind to down Kennedy to reach the semi-finals of the London Classic.

Both players have come through to today’s final in strong form, with both Gilis and Kennedy dropping just one game a piece en route to today’s clash.

Eain Yow Ng V Dimitri Steinmann

In a final matchup few would have predicted at the beginning of the week, No.4 seed Eain Yow Ng of Malaysia goes up against No.6 seed Dimitri Steinmann of Switzerland for the title.

Both men have upset the odds this week in Hamburg, with Ng taking down top seed Joel Makin in the semi-final, while Steinmann got the better of No.3 seed Mohamed ElSherbini yesterday to reach a maiden World Tour final.

The pair go into today’s clash remarkably evenly matched, with the two 26-year-olds having both sitting on 136 career wins, with Ng having played 245 matches and Steinmann 248.
